Sunday School Outreach Program
This school year, our children have committed to helping those in need in our own neighborhoods.
The de Le'Pee Deaf Center has a food bank, which helps an average of 60 families each quarter. The food bank is not limited to those with hearing impairments. Since Katrina, the need for assistance has tripled, and the Center is in need of canned goods.
Our goal is to help fill those pantries. To help us with this, we designated each month a "color".
September: Green vegetables
October: Yellow or orange vegetables or fruits
November: Dry goods (rice, beans, sugar, flour, pasta)
